Just have a look at the above picture. What do you see? I see a gorgeous and glamorous woman who plays with fashion and has developed her own style pretty much. I have to admit , this is very similar to the way I like to dress. I wear a lot of colors, I wear a lot of sneakers, and I usually match or "mismatch" different pieces together: hippy skirts and sporty jackets, for example. Or clean pants with ruffled blouses. Bottom line, for me fashion is a way to express myself, my personality, my inner desires and my hidden thoughts. But most of all, I have fun with it, I 'play', I create new outfits on a regular basis. It does not matter how old I am.

This is not even the point I am trying to make it in here though.

What does "dress age appropriate " even mean?

Exactly! Thank you very much to the lady on the above picture!

I saw women over 50 or even over 60 rocking an outfit better than girls in their twenties.

I am not telling you to wear colors and "weird" things all the times, if this is not "you",

but have fun and wear what makes you feel comfortable.

For example, if colors are not your thing, wear that little black dress and add a pair of red shoes or a tassel belt or a statement necklace , in case you need to spice things up a little.

And do you know what the best part is? That you can still keep it chic and classy and sophisticated. But again, this has nothing to do with your age. How many times I saw young women and girls look very trashy? Far too many . And trust me, you don't want to be them. You are blessed with what we call" having a good taste". You know what looks good on you.

I feel the most comfortable when I dress for the body I have. But this is just me. We are different. I am petite so I usually alter my own dresses and skirts hems to fit me better. But again, ladies, I have been having this problem since I was 18 years old!

You don't feel comfortable showing your upper arms? Then just...don't! Wear a blouse with some sleeves and use that strapless top another time. If you still want to show some arms skin, opt for some ruffled sleeves , so in right now by the way, or for some "tulle" sleeves..so in right now as well. Love both options a lot!

If you are interested on how to dress for your own body I can give you some advises by the way . I took a certification on image consultant and styling . Recently. So I still remember things!!

Here you go. An example of clean and brilliant outfit above. She did it right ! Wearing comfortable sneakers and denim. But look at that leather vest...wow!!! She decided to cover her arms but showing some skin on those ankles at the same time. And that touch of red lipstick? I just can't...clapping my hands at the moment.

But see...the lady above is more me!! Still wearing denim..but more colors and that patterned edgy jacket. Like I said earlier, wear what it is "YOU".

Doc Martens anyone???

But now, if you excuse me , I am going out to have some fun...wearing my fanny pack, you know...

What i see is women who are very comfortable and confident with themselves. You are so right, age is nothing but a number. We all know that even though we learn new things and go through different experiences in life, our mind remains with our own essence, no matter what age. Loved the post!
